Our JD 5093E has decided to just stop moving whenever you start up an incline. i.e. Today I was brush hogging a field, everything was going great until I went to go up a small hill at which point the tractor slowly cam to a stop. 5075E shifter problem. Shifter will move through all ranges, but the tractor is like it is in neutral. When you find a gear the tractor will operate normally, but if you attempt to shift gears then it will not move. This condition took a while to figure what was going on. It started occasionally and has developed to normal operating procedure.Limited machines (I believe) are a purely mechanical pto, slipping and then not slipping seems to me that it could potentially be linkage related. Replace the spring, and check out the rest of the linkage. There should also be some adjustments that can be made related to pto clutch engagement as well.
