W. Frank Blair, who taught herpetology at The University of Texas for many years until his death in 1984, became interested in frogs as part of his research in speciation and hybrid zones in mammals. We now team teach a class in herpetology, which we believe contains the necessary ingredients for the nearly "perfect" course.
