I'm pretty sure for most people it's a matter of what they can afford, not preference. Bludgeon is better, followed by Abby dagger. The dagger has an added benefit of being very effective for dragon Slayer tasks though, so some might just use that all the way for the universal convenience. 5 vol specs off prayer is going to be better odds of a kill than 5hits of this (assuming they dont pray magic for the 25). 5 people speccing with this thing just isn't good for multi. it hits 25. phx necks activates at 19. so 19/25 times, it's going to activate the phoenix necklace and just null all other damage.A Sara Sword is +82 Slash, +82 Str and +2 Pray for ~6m. A Dragon Scimitar + Defender is +86 Slash and +71 Str. So a SS is clearly better, but you have to take other items into consideration. A Zerk is +4 str for 4m, +8 after imbue. A fury is +12 defence, +2 str and +2 prayer over a glory for ~3m. So for 6m you can have +82 slash, +82 str and +2 ...
