We will save you the stress of wondering and tell you the differences...I had Ohlins on my last 2 bikes, in fact I have them sitting in the box trying to decide whether to put them on my 17. Honestly, the factory shocks on the 17 seem pretty damn good. Anyway, the Ohlins are awesome. Really made a difference on my 2010 and 2013 Road Glides.

Did you know?

The ride with the 440 was better than stock until they went bad and the 444 is at least as good, maybe better. In mean time I purchased a new 2015 FLHTCU Ultra Classic. The ride of the Ultra with factory air shocks is quite a bit better than the Custom with Progressive shocks. A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of 13" Ohlins HD 159 shocks. Fox and Racetech are both good, simple, well performing. Fox being more pricey than Racetech tho. There are old industry standards like Progressive and Bitubo. There are also plenty of others in the same price range of parts, Luke Drag Specialties shocks. They're good, hard working parts, but not as much adjustability. Öhlins also offers a coil-sprung version of the RXF36 m.2, which we haven’t tested. An interesting note regarding the spring options, though, is that the air version of the spring doesn’t use the inside of the stanchion as part of the air spring, in contrast to most forks on the market. Currently, the Revo-A is offered in 12” (Stock), 13” and 14” increments. I run the 13” version of the Revo-A on both my 2003 and 2015 Harley-Davidson Dyna LowRider. Something you’ll notice about these shocks is how “soft” they sit. The extended coil length allows for a larger “sweet spot” without increasing the overall shock ...Interesting comments on the AXEO. Well, I did not get the Ohlins Shocks. Money suddenly became an issue. I started looking at the Progressive 944 again. I called Progressive and they assured me that the 944 does have a life time warranty. "If you wear it out, send it back and we will replace it." I was originally going to buy a set of Ohlins HD 044's, but instead got the RWD's due to availability. In the back of my head, I keep on wanting to know what the fabled Ohlins are like. They are finally getting some sets in week with the new brackets, and I have a set of the Ohlins HD 044's coming next week. Very curious to compare these 2 shocks. smoking section lyrics7148 w old bingham hwy west jordan utchina wok platte city mo 3774 posts · Joined 2005. #9 · Feb 1, 2012.
